After retirement from the postal service in 1996, Stanley became the first nurse to work at the Tallahassee Cold Night Shelter, now known as The Kearney Center. In 2001, Stanley began working at Bond Community Health Center as a nurse and, for the past few years as a Patient Navigator, where she exemplifies patience, understanding, temperance, and grace to patients. Earlier this year, she was blessed to have the waiting room of this renowned clinic named in her honor.

Mother Stanley has dedicated her entire life to serving the community at many faith-based and food insecurity organizations across the southeastern region. At 87 years old, she continues to feed the hungry and provide aid and care to disadvantaged individuals and families. She also remains deeply committed to the guiding principles of her faith and embodies such a beautiful and positive spirit.
